Amazing country Vet, has taken care of my Abbey with many allergies for years, when she blew out her ACL On her back leg he was able to perform surgery and six months later the other leg. I drive over a hour to take my pet to Dr. Kennedy, he is a no frills honest affordable tallented Vet!
I have been going to Dr Kennedy for 8 years. About a month ago I took Lilly dog to see him for a knot I discovered on her mammary glands. When we got there, we were asked about her shots which we received from a shot clinic in Hancock county this year because we were low on cash. We called the vet that we received her shot from and they faxed the papers over. Dr Kennedy examined Lilly and were out within five minutes. He told us she had an infection because her body is producing too much estrogen. He recommended we give her antibiotics for two weeks and if it didn't help we get her spayed. Charged us almost $100 and sent us home with her. I would like to note...he did not do a test of any kind to come to the diagnoses he did.
***Update***
Over the next two weeks she was given the antibiotics, after they were gone the infection grew so large she cannot sit right. Knowing that we would not be able to have her treated without money we had to wait a couple of weeks until we had the funds to get her fixed.
Today, 12/12/17, I got a call about Lilly's test results... she does in fact have mammary carcinoma and I am being referred to a board certified surgeon by Dr. Kennedy. The what started as a quarter sized knot and that was misdiagnosed... has turned into a full belly tumor that has spread to her leg. If he would have showed even a little concern in the beginning it would not have grown to be so invasive.
Have been going here for years, Dr. Kennedy is great and so is the staff.
Thanks for killing my dog jerk!!! Cuz I don't know where I will get the money for reconstruction surgery much less chemo and radiation!!
This morning we dropped her off at 8 am. I called at 12:20 to find out when I can pick her up. I was put on hold by the receptionist and transferred to doctor Kennedy. He said, "I don't know if you noticed, but Lilly has an infection in her lower part. It seems to be in her mammary glands and she is not a good candidate for surgery. "" I Don't Know what is causing the shot and will send her home on antibiotics."" We picked her up and was charged $145. We checked the receipt and find they charged us for a rabies vaccine.. remember we just had proof of faxed to them the previous visit and she didn't even need that. We requested to speak to Dr Kennedy.. He told us that there is a chance it's a tumor and when we asked if we should save money for surgery he made it seem like we shouldn't
