Right across the street from Lincolns boyhood home place. I camped in the primitive/tent area. Had it to myself. There are rangers who patrol. Felt very safe ( women travelling alone). One bathroom/ shower for all of the tent area. Spacious and shades sites.

The campground and staff were great. Will for sure come back here. Even on a busy holiday weekend, the experence was great.

Very nice campground with spacious sites.

The beach is a bit smelly (from algae growing in the pond), but kids never seem to mind.

Overall nice place to visit if you live close by. The trails are simple and suitable for children and families. If you aren't afraid of heights, try climbing the Fire Tower (situated on one of the trails).

Real nice park for camping and outdoor activities
